Hertsmere Borough announced today, April 29th, 2021, that they have delayed the publication of the new draft Local Plan until the autumn.
The reason for the delay is to allow more time to assess the suitability of the 21 new potential employment sites in the borough. There will be an additional 6-week consultation stage to allow residents and interested parties to make comments before the plan is submitted to the government appointed independent inspector.
The purpose of the plan will be to guide decisions on the delivery of new homes, schools, employment, and services until 2036.
The full press release is available here Extra time for Hertsmere’s new Local Plan – Hertsmere Borough Council
Please remember that this just a plan, no actual decisions have been made other than to include potential sites in this draft which we will get to comment on. When we can, please comment!
